What: Spanish immersion, service learning, and adventure trip to Costa Rica
When: June 6 - 15, 2015.
For whom: The program is offered for students currently in 5th to 8th grades (or ages 10-14) with a minimum language ability of Intermediate Mid (or by teacher approval).
Why: The total immersion Costa Rica experience is a service learning, travel adventure uniquely crafted by SAS Spanish teachers in conjunction with Rustic Pathways to provide maximum exposure to language, culture, ecology, and the arts. Students will hike through forests and swim in waterfall pools with Spanish speaking naturalists, will do traditional art with local artisans, and will interview the elderly to capture and preserve the stories of the local people.
