For those days when you don't have time to do your hair, this easy braid tutorial is your new go-to.
My hair takes a long time to air dry, and I don't always want to blowdry my hair. That's when I try an easy hairstyle in wet hair.
I'm guessing you love to do this too as my 7 easy hair tutorial for wet hair is one of my most popular posts, as it my braids for wet hair.
Wet hair styles are also great if your hair is dry or damaged. It avoids heat styling your hair (saving further damage) plus it hides away your ends which can be frayed.
As you might now, I'm now posting a new video every week over on my YouTube channel (you can subscribe here if you haven't already!) and this week I'm sharing a tutorial for a braid I wear all the time.
This easy braid tutorial for wet hair takes less than 2 minutes to do and as a bonus, leaves gorgeous waves in your hair when it dries and you take your hair out at the end of the day.

Styling tips
- Treat your hair – Before styling wet hair, I use a little product to help smooth and detangle to make it easier to style. I used this and you can find out more about that product range with my waterfall braid tutorial here.
- Be gentle with wet hair – Wet hair is more fragile than dry hair as it can stretch up to 30% more. Take care not to pull on your hair. As you braid, take in large sections of hair as this leaves less risk for damage too.
- Bobby pin tricks – To get your pins to hold better, don't open the pins. Use the opening to catch a small piece of hair and then turn the pin around into your hair (as in the video) for a stronger hold.
Do you style your hair wet or do you always dry your hair first? And let me know what videos you'd like to see next on my Youtube channel!
